Poppi Sundaze is a contemporary Australian art brand created by us, Sandra and Dan.

We both have Polish backgrounds, and Poppies are a typical Polish wildflower. We started working together on Sundays, which is how we came up with the name Poppi Sundaze. Most of our friends simply call us Poppi.

As Poppi, we work with one of the oldest photographic processes - cyanotype. This 1800s technique uses sunlight to develop each image. Every piece is hand coated with UV-reactive chemicals, air dried, exposed, washed, and finally flattened, resulting in truly one-of-a-kind works.

The core reason why we are so passionate and immersed in this technique is that we believe that we live in a time where so much is instant and digital; our process is intentionally hands-on. It is tactile and a bit unpredictable. You can see the human touch in every artwork.

With each piece, we want to bring sunlight into people’s spaces, along with a sense of truly tangible history, presented in a modern form.
